Privacy Policy

Network Survey is designed with privacy in mind. Your data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

Data Collection Summary

What Network Survey Does NOT Collect

  • ❌ Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • ❌ IMEI or device identifiers (in regular version)
  • ❌ Call history or contacts
  • ❌ SMS message content
  • ❌ Browsing history

What Network Survey Collects

Local Data (stays on your device):

  • GPS coordinates
  • Cellular network information (Cell ID, MCC/MNC, signal strength)
  • Wi-Fi network data (SSID, BSSID, signal strength)
  • Bluetooth device information (MAC address, signal strength)
  • GNSS satellite data

This data is ONLY stored locally unless you:

  • Enable MQTT/gRPC streaming
  • Enable upload to OpenCelliD/BeaconDB
  • Sync with NS Analytics

Data You Choose to Share

MQTT / gRPC Streaming

When you enable streaming:

  • Survey data is sent to YOUR configured server
  • You control the destination
  • Data is sent in real-time as you survey

Upload to Public Databases

When you enable uploads to OpenCelliD or BeaconDB:

  • Cell tower survey data (OpenCelliD & BeaconDB)
  • Wi-Fi survey data (BeaconDB)
  • GPS coordinates

NS Analytics Sync

When you register with NS Analytics:

  • Survey data syncs to your NS Analytics workspace
  • You control the NS Analytics account

Your Control

You have full control:

  • All data stays local by default
  • Choose what to stream/upload
  • Stop streaming/uploading anytime
  • Delete local files anytime

No accounts required:

  • Use Network Survey without registration
  • Exception: NS Analytics sync (optional)
